Welcome to Mead Meadows Angus Stud. We are located in Cohuna, Victoria near the mighty Murray River. We are a family owned farm and have been breeding livestock since 1989.

Mead Meadows Angus Stud commenced in 2011 with the start up of our herd being the purchase of the 46 embryos from the Forres Angus stud dispersal. The family lines that were purchased were from the Wilcoola, Burnette, Lowan, Designer & Royal Line families.

In 2014 we purchased females from Home Lea Stud that were direct descendants from the renowned Merridale Vicky S165 & Ebony Hills Mittagong T1. These extraordinairy Brood cow genetics are a standout in our herd. Excellent structure, quiet temperaments & longevity.

The next step in our progression of genetics was the purchase of the entire line of in calf Phoenix Park heifers at the dispersal sale in 2023. These females are from the noted Wilcoola, Ester Yankee Queen, Vegas, Dream & Larrietta lines.

Our bulls that are bred for sale are by top AI Sires from around the world. We focus on our A.I. breeding programs over these outstanding cow families & aim to breed quiet temperament, calving ease, good feet & leg structure and higher than average EBV’s Bulls.

OUR FEMALES

Mead Meadows dams are bred for sound structure, docile temperament & fertility for that female to breed on in our herd producing a calf every year. We focus on our AI programs to bring in the best genetics from around the world. Our dams have a strong consistent pedigree to produce quality calves.

We have bulls for private selection ranging in ages. Mead Meadows Angus have bulls to suit different requirements in your breeding program; from commercial to registered. All bulls are fertility tested, fully vaccinated, Vibro Vaxinated & PestiVirus tested free. We especially select AI sires for calving ease traits for your heifers. All bulls have been genomic tested for traits. AI sires are chosen for performance & Angus breeding objectives for ongoing improvement in your herd.

DOCILITY & TEMPERAMENT ARE PRIORITY TRAITS IN OUR BREEDING PROGRAM
